WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
The Gospel is the GOOD NEWS!! It is the best news you will ever hear in your life!
That Jesus Christ the son of God laid his life down on the cross of Calvary, for everyone! He is the one that payed the debt that I owed and that you owed too! That we may be reconciled to God himself! You might ask the question what is the debt he payed for everyone?
That debt is sin. Everyone was born a sinner. Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” Romans 5:12-21
Death in the Bible is described as physical death and spiritual death. Spiritual death is being eternally separated from God in Hell.
Sin always has a price tag. As it says in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God Almighty the one Holy God required a sacrifice to be made for sins. He required the price of sin to be paid. Jesus paid that price with His own blood.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
There is only one way out of this mess and that is through the blood of Jesus! Hallelujah!
In John 14:6, Jesus says I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No man comes unto the Father but by me!
Jesus the son of God payed the price that sin has on it. So that we may be reconciled to God Almighty.
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet he shall live.
So how do you accept the free gift of salvation?
Romans 10:9-10 says
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
You must repent or (turn away) from your sins and believe in the Gospel.
Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Salvation isn’t a prayer that you’ve prayed. It cannot be attained by any works that you have done. Salvation is only through the blood of Jesus.
An example of a prayer to say accept salvation is: “Jesus I know that I am a sinner. I know that I have broken your laws. I ask that you would forgive me of all of my sins. I repent of all my sins. I ask that you would come into my heart and save me from my sins.”
Remember it’s not the prayer that saves you it is Jesus alone who saves you!
